Neurealm in Chennai (Navallur) seeks an experienced L3 Wintel Engineer to provide advanced support, administration, and troubleshooting for enterprise Windows infrastructure. The role emphasizes expertise in Active Directory, core Microsoft services, and virtualization with VMware and Hyper-V.

Qualifications

• 12 to 15 years of experience in Wintel infrastructure support.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex enterprise infrastructure issues.
• Good networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls).
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Experience in production support (24x7 environment).

Responsibilities

• Windows Server Administration: Install, configure, upgrade and maintain Windows Server environments.
• AD Management: Manage AD, GPOs, OU structures, trusts, and replication.
• DNS & DHCP: Configure and manage DNS, DHCP scopes, failover, and reservations.
• Virtualization & Infrastructure: Manage VMware vSphere and Hyper-V environments; troubleshoot issues.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and monitor backups; perform DR testing.
• Monitoring & Automation: Use monitoring tools; develop PowerShell scripts.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain infrastructure docs; follow ITIL processes.
• Handle incidents and RCA; implement security hardening and compliance.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Wintel Engineer to provide advanced support, administration, and troubleshooting for enterprise Windows infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Active Directory, core Microsoft services, and virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V. This role requires deep technical knowledge, problem-solving capabilities, and experience handling complex escalations.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Windows Server Administration
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
• Perform system health checks, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Handle Level 3 incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Implement security hardening and compliance standards.
• 2. Active Directory (AD) Management
• Manage and maintain Active Directory infrastructure.
• Administer Group Policies (GPO), OU structures, trusts, and replication.
• Perform AD schema updates, forest/domain functional level upgrades.
• Manage Azure AD Connect (if applicable).
• Troubleshoot authentication, replication, and domain controller issues.
• 3. DNS & DHCP Administration
• Configure and manage Domain Name System (DNS) services.
• Administer Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) scopes, failover, and reservations.
• Troubleshoot name resolution and IP allocation issues.
• Maintain DNS zone records and ensure high availability.
• 4. Virtualization & Infrastructure
• Manage and support VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter).
• Provision and maintain virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and clusters.
• Support Microsoft Hyper-V environments including clustering and live migration.
• Perform capacity planning and resource optimization.
• Troubleshoot storage, compute, and network integration issues.
• 5. Backup & Disaster Recovery
• Implement and monitor backup strategies.
• Perform restoration and DR testing.
• Participate in BCP and DR drills.
• 6. Monitoring & Automation
• Use monitoring tools for system performance and availability.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation and administration tasks.
• 7. Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure and changes.
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
• Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12 to 15 years of experience in Wintel infrastructure support.
