Core Responsibilities: All duties will be performed according to written laboratory procedures and after appropriate training by a designated supervisor. Technical Duties: Shall read, understand and comply to all department SOPs; Shall monitor daily maintenance and additional maintenance protocols as per SOP; Shall monitor stock and usage of reagent controls, calibrator consumables and backup spares such as probes, bulbs and tubing as applicable and comply with stock and inventory procedures; Shall plan and implement equipment acceptance testing, test method verification of analyzer equipment as per protocols; Shall ensure expired material if noticed is escalated to designated supervisor and not used; Shall monitor integrity of samples prior to processing; Shall perform daily IQC, QC review, IQC outliers documentation, troubleshooting of errors, root cause analysis CA PA with help of doctors; Shall participate in monthly QC review, internal audits and external audits; Shall ensure monitoring of pending reports as per protocol 3 to 4 hourly wherever applicable and maintain TAT; Shall review results and validate results after delta check of previous reports; Shall take clinical history wherever relevant; Shall ensure appropriate pre-analytical conditions are met before releasing abnormal reports; Shall handle manual intervention in analyzers such as barcode scanner or interfacing issues; Shall ensure retesting and recollection of samples with consent of HOD or pathologist; Shall monitor compliance of manual tests under supervision; Shall monitor sample retention, archiving and discard as per QSP; Shall identify process errors and elevate; Shall review Levey Jennings chart and document coefficient of variation wherever applicable; Shall monitor additional QC procedures such as inter instrument comparison and retained samples; Shall review proficiency testing performance with QA department; Shall perform verification of new kits and equipment maintenance wherever applicable.
