Job summary

Dcm Shriram International in Gurugram District, Haryana, seeks a Lab Engineer to perform concrete mix design (PQC/DLC) per IS, ASTM & BS and conduct tests on construction materials. The role includes field geotechnical investigations to assess bearing capacity and pile load capacity, along with non-destructive testing and NABL documentation.

The incumbent will also oversee field tests for quality assessment, contribute to research projects, and ensure quality control across on-site construction

Responsibilities

• Conducts mix design of concrete including PQC and DLC per relevant IS, ASTM & BS.
• Tests construction materials including establishing job mix formula.
• Supervises and conducts field geotechnical investigations per IS, ASTM & BS to determine safe bearing capacity of shallow foundations and pile load capacity.
• Performs non-destructive testing such as rebound hammer, half-cell potential, carbonation, UPV & rebar scanning.
• Prepares NABL-related documentation and implements NABL requirements in civil lab.
• Conducts field tests for quality assessment of construction.
• Hands-on experience of testing in the lab.
• Tests for research projects.
• Monitors and controls quality in ongoing construction of building projects in the institute campus, including deployment at designated RMC plant.

• Lab Engineer will be responsible for supervising and conducting field geotechnical investigation as per relevant IS, ASTM & BS and their further analysis to determine safe bearing capacity of shallow foundation and pile load capacity.
• Lab Engineer will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing such as rebound hammer, half-cell potential, carbonation, UPV & rebar scanning as per relevant IS, ASTM & BS.
• Lab Engineer will be responsible for preparing NABL related documentation and implementation of NABL requirement in civil lab.
• Lab Engineer will be responsible for conducting field test for quality assessment of the construction.
• Lab Engineer should have hands-on experience of testing in the lab.
• Lab Engineer will be responsible for conducting the test for research project.
• Lab Engineer should be responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality in the ongoing construction of the building project in the institute campus including deployment at designated RMC plant as per the construction requirement and schedule.
