Job summary

Mars Planning & Engineering Services in Ahmedabad invites fresh diploma/degree holders in Civil Engineering to join as Junior Site/Lab Engineer. You will assist in laboratory testing, quality control, and site supervision to ensure works meet drawings and standards.

You will coordinate with site engineers, lab staff, contractors and project teams, prepare reports, monitor material quality, and participate in field inspections.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
• Basic understanding of civil construction, material testing and quality control.
• Good observation, documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to work at laboratory as well as project/site locations.
• Training will be provided for laboratory testing, quality control and site supervision.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office/Excel and report preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in laboratory testing and quality control activities as per project requirements and applicable standards.
• Support site supervision and inspection of ongoing construction activities.
• Coordinate with site engineers, laboratory staff, contractors, and project teams for smooth execution of work.
• Monitor the quality of construction materials, workmanship, and testing procedures.
• Assist in collecting samples and maintaining proper records of laboratory and site tests.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, test reports, inspection records, and documentation.
• Ensure that site activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Identify and report any quality issues, deviations, or non-conformities to the senior/project engineer.
• Assist in monitoring the use and condition of laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
• Undertake regular site visits and field inspections as required.
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, and project procedures.
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility for both laboratory and site supervision activities.
