Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a senior QA/QC professional for our concrete lab focusing on water infrastructure projects. You will ensure compliance with client requirements and drive quality across materials, processes and field activities.

The role requires 5 years (BE/B.Tech Civil) or 8 years (Diploma in Civil) and internal ISO 9001 audit experience. You will develop SOPs/ITPs, coordinate with stakeholders and train QA teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in field Quality Control activities for Water infra / EPC / Construction.
• Qualified internal auditor of ISO 9001 – Quality Management.
• Knowledge of construction methods, SOPs and ITPs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with client requirements and conduct quality checks/reviews of work activities.
• Prepare and control project quality system documentation before project start.
• Responsible for overall quality of products and services delivered to customers.
• Prepare SOPs and ITPs for site and lab activities.
• Lab tests for concrete ingredients and mix designs; use additives as required.
• Monitor nonconformance reports and coordinate with stakeholders.

Job Description

A professional with 5 years of experience (BE / B.Tech - Civil) or 8 yrs of experience (Diploma in Civil) in field Quality Control activities in Water infrastructure / EPC / Construction / Infrastructure and Allied Businesses. Qualified internal auditor of ISO 9001 - Quality Management.

Requisites:

• Preferable: working in water wastewater, storm water network and drainage design projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and conducting thorough Quality checks / reviews of work activities.
• Preparation & control of Project Quality system management documentation prior to project commencement.
• Responsible for Overall Quality of the products and services delivered to Customers
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods including its practice / procedures and Prepare SOPs and ITPs for site and lab activities.
• Work experience in Precast Technology preferable. Concrete mix designs with 5- 90 MPa from 1 - 90-day requirements (required strength on specified day)
• Familiarity with international codes, IS standards, regulations and practices applicable to Construction & Waterindustry.
• Conduct lab tests for concrete ingredients & concrete design mix trials. Concrete Mix Design to the requirement of different provisions of standards / submittals. Mix Designs with Micro Silica, Fly Ash, GGBS, Fibers.
• Ensuring raw material inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection carried out as per QAP/ITP, process chart, work instruction and customer requirements
• Attend Client Quality Management meetings and coordinate all project requirements with Stakeholders.
• Manage and Track Quality metrics. Digital solutions wrt Quality implementation.
• Perform onsite field observation of installed work (e.g. concrete, structural steel, process and mechanical piping, electrical, etc.).
• Develop vendor quality awareness and ensure that quality controls are performed during the vendor manufacturing process as per QAP
• Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports.
• Provide training and support to QA team.
• Preparation of QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions.
• Liaison with external lab for specialized testing, certifications bodies and timely resolutions.
