Job summary

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications (B.Sc. / BCA) or equivalent, OR
• B.Sc. Mathematics with adequate computer knowledge, OR
• Diploma in Computer Science / Engineering with relevant hands-on experience, OR
• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science / IT (preferred where available, though not always mandatory for this role level)

Essential Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems - installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Experience with software installation and licensing management (e.g., MATLAB, Python distributions, R, SPSS, or similar mathematical/statistical computing tools)
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting

Desirable Skills

• Inventory management and asset-tracking experience
• Ability to coordinate with faculty for lab scheduling and software requirements
• Good communication skills to interact with students and faculty
• Familiarity with system imaging/cloning tools for lab-wide software deployment

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a computer lab, IT support, or system administration role (freshers with strong technical proficiency may be considered, subject to Institute HR norms)
• Prior experience in an academic/educational institution is desirable but not mandatory
