Job summary

UAi - School of Management in Ahmednagar seeks a capable laboratory assistant to support faculty and students during practical and laboratory sessions. You will prepare computer systems, software, networks and other resources before labs, and assist students with access to required software and development environments.

You will maintain laboratory inventory and records, ensure proper functioning of systems, coordinate with IT support, and help with examinations, projects and technical events

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty members in conducting practical and laboratory sessions.
• Prepare computer systems, software, networks, and other laboratory resources before practical sessions.
• Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, programming tools, IDEs, databases, and other academic software.
• Maintain laboratory computers, peripherals, networking equipment, and other technical resources.
• Ensure proper functioning of laboratory systems and report technical faults promptly.
• Assist students in accessing required software, development environments, and laboratory resources.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, equipment records, software records, and issue/return registers.
• Support laboratory examinations, practical assessments, projects, workshops, and technical events.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety, security, and usage protocols.
• Coordinate with IT support and vendors for technical maintenance whenever required.
• Assist in maintaining digital and physical documentation related to laboratories.
• Perform any other academic or technical duties assigned by the School/Department.
