Job summary

Concoct Human Resource Practitioners is seeking a skilled L1 Support Engineer to join its IT team. You will assist in day-to-day IT operations, including server setup, system monitoring, backups, and user account management to ensure reliability and security of our infrastructure.

The role requires basic server hardware and OS knowledge, Office 365 and ADDS familiarity, and good communication. You will work with the team on incidents, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Basic understanding of server hardware, Windows/Linux OS, and network basics.
• Knowledge of Office 365 administration and Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS).
• Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with data backup, recovery tools, and IT security best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Willingness to work in shifts or on-call as needed.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated L1 Support Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day‑to‑day operations of IT infrastructure, including server setup, hardware/software troubleshooting, user account management, system monitoring, and network maintenance. This role is critical for maintaining the availability, performance, and security of our systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure new or rebuilt servers, hardware, peripherals, and services in line with project and operational requirements.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues; replace faulty components as needed.
• Execute data backups and perform disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration documentation for systems and services.
• Perform daily system and network monitoring to verify the integrity, availability, and performance of hardware, servers, and key processes.
• Review system and application logs, and verify successful completion of scheduled tasks, such as data backups.
• Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data, hardware, and software.
• Carry out routine network startup and shutdown tasks; maintain system control and operation logs.
• Perform file archival and storage management in accordance with company policies.
• Manage user lifecycle activities, including account creation, modification, and deletion upon request.
• Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software for optimal performance.
• Collaborate with users to resolve system issues and provide basic training on proper system use and maintenance.
• Monitor network performance and recommend adjustments to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Manage and maintain Office 365 accounts, including mailbox setup and permissions.
• Administer Active Directory services including user account management, group policies, and directory structure maintenance.

Qualifications Skills:

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of server hardware, Windows/Linux operating systems, and network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Office 365 administration and Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS).
• Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with data backup, recovery tools, and IT security best practices.
