Job summary

Jaro Fincap Private Limited in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned KYC & V-KYC Analyst to own end-to-end identity verification for education-loan applications, including both digital document checks and live V-CIP sessions.

You will validate PAN, CKYC, DigiLocker as per RBI guidelines, perform CDD/EDD, detect fraud, escalate issues, and collaborate with underwriting while protecting customer data and ensuring SOP compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Experience: 12 years of hands-on KYC, Video KYC (V-CIP), document verification, or digital onboarding.
• Industry preference: NBFC/Bank/Fintech/digital lending background preferred.
• Technical skills: Familiarity with V-CIP workflows, CKYC/DigiLocker verification, CRM, MS Excel, LOS.
• Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and strict SOP adherence.

Responsibilities

• Video Verification (V-CIP) & Live Checks: conduct live sessions and ensure liveness and anti-spoofing controls.

Job Purpose:

Jaro Fincap Private Limited is hiring a combined KYC & V-KYC Analyst to join our Digital Loan Operations team in Mumbai. In this comprehensive role, you will manage end-to-end customer identity verification for education-loan applications. This includes both digital document validation and conducting live Video-based Customer Identification Process (V-CIP) sessions in strict accordance with RBI guidelines and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Verification (V-CIP) & Live Checks

• Conduct live customer video-verification sessions through the companys approved V-CIP platform.
• Confirm customer presence, evaluate audio-visual quality, and execute prescribed liveness and anti-spoofing controls.
• Capture and validate required live photographs, recordings, timestamps, and geolocation tags.
• Ensure explicit customer consent and complete all prescribed steps before marking a session complete.

Document Validation & Customer Due Diligence

• Verify identity and address documents, PAN details, and other KYC records using CKYC, DigiLocker, and permitted digital sources.
• Validate document authenticity, completeness, and consistency against the loan application.
• Follow customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) procedures where applicable.

Fraud Detection & Exception Handling

• Cross-match customer declarations with application info and identity records to identify mismatches.
• Detect impersonation indicators, document tampering, suspicious behavior, and potential identity fraud.
• Review automated verification results and promptly escalated failed, inconclusive, or high-risk cases/sessions to the authorized supervisor.

Operations & Coordination

• Coordinate directly with customers via approved channels to obtain missing documents, clear verification flags, or re-initiate pending sessions.
• Maintain accurate session records, verification statuses, exception remarks, and audit trails in the LOS/KYC system.
• Partner with underwriting and loan operations teams to resolve KYC-related application holds.
• Protect customer data by following strict information-security, secure-recording, and access-control requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 12 years of hands-on experience in KYC, Video KYC (V-CIP), document verification, or digital customer onboarding.
• Industry Preference: Prior experience in an NBFC, Bank, Fintech, or digital lending platform is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with V-CIP workflows, PAN/CKYC/DigiLocker verification, CRM, MS Excel, and Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, sharp observational skills, clear and professional communication, and the ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.

Role-Specific Control Requirements:

KYC and V-CIP verification must strictly follow applicable RBI-prescribed procedures (including consent, identity checks, and secure storage). Unresolved discrepancies or suspected fraud must be escalated immediately rather than bypassed to meet processing targets.
