Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Kubernetes Expert & Architect with extensive experience in container orchestration, DevOps automation, and infrastructure modernization. This is a senior role requiring deep technical expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure, with the ability to manage critical incidents, lead optimizations, and support enterprise‑scale deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, provision, and manage Kubernetes clusters, including Red Hat OpenShift platforms.
- Perform version upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of containerized platforms.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Ansible.
- Oversee Linux OS administration and ensure system health, security, and performance.
- Manage container storage, monitoring, and backup solutions.
- Develop and deploy Helm charts for application lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams for platform integration and optimization.
- Monitor platform health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Handle Severity 1 & 2 incidents and provide root cause analysis and mitigation plans.
- Operate within a 24×7 support framework, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
- Contribute to automation efforts, infrastructure as code, and continuous improvements.
- Document and follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and configuration management.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on expertise in Kubernetes & Docker containerization platforms.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and ecosystem components.
- Proven experience in provisioning, managing, and upgrading Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters.
- Proficient in Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL) administration and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably VMware Cloud, GCP, or Azure.
- Working knowledge of cloud/container networking and service mesh concepts.
- Strong CI/CD pipeline understanding with tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of Helm, Helm Charts, and Kubernetes manifests.
- Experience in container performance tuning and resource optimization.
- Familiarity with backup tools, container storage, and disaster recovery practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle production support scenarios.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to CRI‑O, Docker, OpenShift, and container security best practices.
- Familiarity with OpenStack and other private cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation with Shell, Ansible, and GitOps principles.
- Monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar tools.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and change management workflows.
Certifications (Desired)
- Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator
- Certification in GCP, Azure, or other cloud platforms (Preferred)
