Job summary

VE3 is seeking an entry-level Kubernetes Intern in Pune, Maharashtra, to design, build, and operate cloud-native infrastructure. You\u2019ll own environments end-to-end, focusing on reliability, security, and automation using Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.

The role covers building and operating clusters (EKS/AKS), infrastructure as code, CI/CD automation, and observability. Ideal for 0–1 year of hands-on experience and a strong foundation in cloud tech.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes in production environments hands-on.
• Terraform modules, state management and environments.
• GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Docker fundamentals and containerization.
• Linux networking basics and security concepts.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud-native infrastructure with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform and reusable modules.
• Develop and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Manage Kubernetes deployments with Helm and ensure reliable rollouts.
• Work with cloud providers to manage IAM, secrets, and access controls.
• Implement observability, logging, metrics, and alerting for prod environments.

Role Overview

Design, build, and operate cloud-native infrastructure and delivery pipelines using Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions. Own environments end-to-end and keep them reliable, secure, and automated.

Core Responsibilities

Kubernetes

• Build and operate Kubernetes clusters (EKS / AKS)
• Ingress (NGINX / ALB / Application Gateway)
• Autoscaling (HPA, cluster autoscaler)
• Resource limits, namespaces, and network policies
• Deploy workloads using Helm
• Debug production issues (pods, networking, DNS, scaling)

Infrastructure as Code

• Provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Write reusable modules for Networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, security groups)
• Write reusable modules for Kubernetes and supporting services
• Manage state, environments, and versioning safely
• Apply changes using plan/apply discipline

CI/CD (GitHub Actions)

• Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Automate Application builds and deployments
• Automate Terraform validation and deployment
• Automate Kubernetes rollouts
• Implement branch protections, approvals, and environment controls

Cloud & Runtime

• Work directly with AWS or Azure
• Configure IAM / Entra roles, secrets, and access controls
• Manage container images and registries
• Ensure environments are reproducible and cost-aware

Observability & Ops

• Implement logging, metrics, and alerting
• Troubleshoot live issues and production incidents
• Perform root cause analysis and preventative fixes
