Job summary

Della Group in India is seeking a seasoned Stewarding Supervisor for a five-star hotel to lead the Stewarding team, uphold cleanliness standards, and ensure supplies, equipment, tools and uniforms are available. You will supervise all stewarding duties, manage facilities, operations and costs, and keep water temperature and chemical levels documented.

Reporting to the Culinary Director, the role requires 8–9 years in a related field and a university degree; you will prepare monthly reports on

• 8-9 years of experience in related field and in a five-star hotel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Stewarding team and ensure standards are followed.
• Supervise stewarding staff, facilities, operations and costs.
• Ensure water temperature and chemical levels are appropriate and documented.
• Approve storeroom requisition and maintain par stocks.
• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
• Prepare monthly reports on shortages and requisition replacements within budget guidelines.
• Maintain disciplinary procedures and documentation per SOPs.

Job Description:

• Ensure Back of House areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards and cleaning schedules are followed and completed. Ensure staff have supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms necessary to do their jobs.
• Supervise the duties of all stewarding employees, facilities, operation and costs.
• Ensure water temperature, and chemical levels are appropriate for cleaning and documented.
• Ensure minimum and maximum operating par stocks and supplies and approve storeroom requisition.
• Ensures all food holding and transport equipment is in working order. Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
• Prepare monthly reports on shortages in china silverware and equipment and requisition replacements as required while following budget guidelines.
• Lead and manage the Stewarding team in all aspects of the department and ensure standards are followed.
• Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Job Expectations:

• Excellent leadership skills and Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Sound knowledge on chemicals to be used in various washing methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Computer knowledge in Microsoft office applications is required.
• Highly responsible, reliable. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Minimum Qualification:

University/College degree in a related discipline as an asset.

Minimum Job Experience:

8-9 years of experience in related field and in of five star hotel.
