For 15 years, KLAY has been the parenting partner of choice for India's top Fortune 500 companies and for parents who believe that early childhood is the foundation for everything that follows.

Under new CEO leadership, KLAY is now building towards a vision that goes considerably beyond preschools - "All Things Child." A complete, interconnected ecosystem for the earliest and most formative years of a child's life. Technology is not a support function in this vision - it is a core enabler of everything we are building.

The Role

We are looking for a Vice President / Senior Vice President - Technology who will own KLAY's entire technology vision and execution across two distinct but deeply connected charters: Consumer Technology and Enterprise Technology.

This is not a maintenance role. The person coming in will architect and build technology that directly shapes how thousands of children learn, how parents stay connected to their child's growth, and how KLAY operates and scales across India.

Charter 1 - Consumer Technology

Build the digital layer that connects KLAY to every parent, child and educator we serve. This charter covers all consumer-facing products and platforms.

• Parent & Educator App

Design and build the primary touchpoint between KLAY and every parent. Real-time updates on child development, daily learning moments, teacher communication, attendance, and milestone tracking. The app must feel as intuitive as the best consumer apps in India.

• Curriculum & Learning Technology

Build the technology backbone for KLAY's proprietary curriculum - including digital content delivery, educator tools, and eventually a platform to license curriculum to other preschools across India.

• Loyalty, Subscription & Omnichannel

Design the loyalty and subscription architecture that retains families across KLAY's growing ecosystem. Integrate online and offline touchpoints into a seamless omnichannel experience.

• Child Development Analytics

Build data products that help parents and educators understand and support each child's developmental journey. Turn KLAY's 15 years of early childhood data into India's most valuable insight engine on child development.

Charter 2 - Enterprise Technology

Build the operational backbone that enables KLAY to scale efficiently across hundreds of centres and thousands of employees. This charter covers all internal systems and infrastructure.

• Centre Operations Technology

Build systems that standardise operations across a dispersed network of centres - SOPs, quality tracking, compliance, staff management, and real-time visibility for leadership.

• ERP & Finance Systems

Own the end-to-end ERP strategy - from finance and procurement to HR and payroll. Ensure systems are scalable, integrated and audit-ready as KLAY grows.

• Data Infrastructure & Business Intelligence

Build the data infrastructure that gives KLAY's leadership real-time visibility into business performance across every centre, city and function. Dashboards, KPI tracking, and predictive analytics.

• Technology Security & Compliance

Ensure KLAY's technology infrastructure meets the highest standards of data security, privacy and compliance - particularly given the sensitivity of child and family data.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Set the technology vision, roadmap and architecture for KLAY's next phase of growth
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing technology team of 6+ direct reports and a broader team
• Work directly with the CEO and leadership team to align technology investments with business priorities
• Own technology vendor relationships, partnerships and procurement
• Represent KLAY's technology vision externally - to investors, partners and industry forums
• Drive a culture of innovation, speed and product thinking across the technology function

Who We Are Looking For

• You have built technology products that real consumers use - not just enterprise systems. You understand that the best technology disappears into the experience and makes people's lives simpler.
• You have led technology in a service business with a dispersed physical network - retail, QSR, hospitality, education, healthcare or similar. You know what it means to build tech for a business where the product is delivered in hundreds of locations simultaneously.
• You are comfortable with ambiguity. KLAY is in a phase of active transformation - the roadmap is directional, not fully defined. You will help define it.
• You think like a product owner, not just a technology manager. You obsess about the user experience - whether that user is a parent, an educator, or a centre director.
• You can build and inspire a team. At KLAY, technology talent needs to believe in the mission - you will be a key reason they choose to be here.
• You care about children and families. This is not required on a CV - but it matters in how decisions get made here.

Qualifications & Experience

• 15 plus years of overall technology experience with at least 5 years in an impact driving role and managing senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience building consumer-facing technology products - apps, platforms, or digital services
• Strong command of enterprise technology - ERP, business intelligence, data infrastructure, security
• Experience in a service business with physical network operations - retail, QSR, education, healthcare preferred
• Engineering degree required. Plus MBA preferred. Based in or open to relocate to Bengaluru
