Job summary

Consulting Engineers Group Ltd. invites a qualified HSE professional to join the Surat Metro project. The role focuses on implementing safety policies, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with Method Statements, Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, and Permit-to-Work systems.

You will lead toolbox talks, training, and awareness programs, coordinate with contractors and clients, investigate incidents, and maintain safety records to support safe project execution in Surat.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience after BE/BTech.
• Experience in Elevated Metro, Metro Stations, Viaduct, Bridge, Flyover or other infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and statutory compliance.
• Strong coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement safety policies and HSE requirements at the project site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with Method Statements, Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, and Permit-to-Work.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams on safety matters.
• Investigate accidents and maintain safety documentation.
• Assist the Project Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for the Surat Metro project.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.

• Experience in Elevated Metro, Metro Stations, Viaduct, Bridge, Flyover, or other infrastructure projects will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety, HSE/SHE requirements, risk assessment, and safety procedures.
• Good knowledge of safety audits, inspections, incident investigation, and statutory compliance.
• Strong coordination skills with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and implement safety policies, procedures, and HSE requirements at the project site.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with approved Method Statements, Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Monitor safety during work at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, excavation, and other construction activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, training, and awareness programs.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with project safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams on safety-related matters.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare necessary reports.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, and other HSE documentation.
• Support safety audits and ensure timely closure of observations and non-compliances.
• Assist the Project Manager in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring smooth execution of the Surat Metro project.
