Job description

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Junior Product Designer to join our team in Jaipur. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in luxury furniture design, a good understanding of materials and craftsmanship, and the ability to translate design concepts into functional and aesthetically refined solutions.

This role offers an opportunity to work on bespoke residential and commercial projects, contributing to the development of high-end furniture and interior design solutions. The candidate will work closely with and report to the Senior Designer, assisting with design development, technical drawings, material selection, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Furniture Design & Technical Knowledge

• Develop a strong understanding of furniture design, ergonomics, proportions, construction techniques, and industry standards.
• Assist in designing bespoke furniture pieces that balance aesthetics, functionality, comfort, and durability.
• Support the development of in-house furniture collections and custom furniture integrated into residential and commercial projects.

2. Design Development & Planning

• Assist the Senior Designer in developing creative concepts, design layouts, and furniture solutions.
• Translate design concepts into detailed drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation.
• Work on design revisions and detailing to ensure accuracy and alignment with the overall design vision.
• Support the execution of design concepts from initial development through production and installation.

3. Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino) for technical drawings, shop drawings, and 3D modelling.
• Ability to prepare accurate drawings and communicate design intent clearly to the Senior Designer, vendors, and manufacturing teams.
• Familiarity with rendering and visualization software is an added advantage.

4. AI & Digital Design Tools

• Hands-on experience with AI-powered design tools and platforms to support concept development, visualization, and creative exploration.
• Willingness to explore emerging technologies and use AI tools to improve design efficiency and productivity.

5. Material Research & Selection

• Assist in researching and sourcing premium materials, finishes, fabrics, hardware, and furniture components.
• Develop an understanding of material properties, applications, durability, and maintenance requirements.
• Stay updated on emerging design trends, material innovations, and luxury furniture aesthetics.
• Support the curation of materials and finishes that align with the brand’s design philosophy and quality standards.

6. Factory Visits & Site Coordination

• Be open to regular factory visits, site inspections, and travel as required.
• Coordinate with the Senior Designer, vendors, craftsmen, and manufacturing teams for design detailing and execution.
• Assist in checking furniture dimensions, material specifications, finishes, and production quality.
• Help identify and resolve design or technical discrepancies during manufacturing and installation.
• Work closely with the Senior Designer and other team members to ensure smooth project coordination.
• Follow design guidelines, project timelines, and technical specifications.
• Incorporate feedback and implement revisions with attention to detail.
• Maintain organized design files, drawings, material samples, and project documentation.

• A portfolio showcasing furniture design, 3D modelling, technical drawings, or residential and commercial interior projects.
• Working knowledge of furniture ergonomics, dimensions, materials, construction methods, and finishes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhino is essential.
• Familiarity with AI-powered design tools and visualization platforms.
• Good communication, coordination, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, take feedback positively, and meet project deadlines.
• A keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for luxury design, furniture craftsmanship, and material exploration.
