Job summary

GMS Elegant Builders is seeking a seasoned Civil Project Scheduler/Planner to prepare and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project. You will develop baselines, monitor progress, analyze critical paths, coordinate with project teams, and prepare regular reports for management and clients.

The role requires strong planning skills, proactive risk mitigation, and experience with civil infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience in civil project execution and site management.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of project planning techniques and earned value management.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Familiar with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Develop baseline programs in line with contract requirements and project execution plans.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline and highlight delays, risks, and recovery actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate progress updates.
• Perform schedule analysis including critical path, float, and resource loading.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Forecast completion dates, manpower, and resource requirements.
• Participate in project review meetings and present schedule status, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Support claims and extension of time (EOT) submissions with proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company planning standards and procedures.
• Assist in planning, designing, and managing civil engineering projects including roads, buildings, drainage systems, and infrastructure works.
• Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
• Prepare and review project drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and assist in troubleshooting engineering or construction issues.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve any design-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Manage material procurement and inventory related to civil works.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, and risk management activities.
