Job summary

TeamLease is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance of plant machinery and equipment at the manufacturing plant. The role emphasizes preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required. You will perform inspections, lubrication, alignment, and routine tasks, while complying with safety practices and maintaining basic maintenance records.

Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work in shifts and follow safety protocols.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and interpret simple drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Assist in maintenance of CNC machines, VMC machines, and assembly lines.
• Support maintenance of EOT cranes, JIB cranes, forklifts, and stackers.
• Carry out routine inspection, lubrication, alignment, and tightening activities.
• Identify mechanical issues and elevate major problems to senior team members.
• Assist in maintenance of plant utilities equipment such as compressors and related systems.
• Execute daily maintenance tasks as per schedule and supervisor instructions.
• Ensure proper use of tools and adherence to safety practices.
• Maintain basic records of maintenance activities and breakdowns.
• Support housekeeping and ensure clean working conditions around machines.
