Job summary

DESIGNS MEASURESY Studio in Pune seeks a Junior Interior Designer to support the design team on residential and commercial projects, translating concepts into functional layouts and detailed drawings.

You will visit sites, coordinate FF&E, and help prepare mood boards and presentations, ensuring design intent is realized on-site. The role is full-time and on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Interior Design and Space Planning with ability to translate concepts into functional layouts.
• Understanding of Architecture principles applied to interior spaces and construction drawings.
• Experience with FF&E selection, materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting.
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field, with software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior concepts and prepare layout plans for residential and commercial projects.
• Assist with detailed drawings and co-ordinate FF&E selections and finishes.
• Prepare presentations and mood boards; liaise with vendors and contractors under guidance.
• Perform regular site visits to ensure design intent is executed on-site and document progress.

Role Description

The Junior Interior Designer will support the design team in developing interior concepts, preparing layout plans, and assisting with detailed drawings for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating on space planning, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and preparing presentations and mood boards. The role involves regular site visits, liaising with vendors and contractors under guidance, and ensuring design intent is accurately executed on-site. The Junior Interior Designer will also assist in documenting project progress, updating drawings, and maintaining organized project files. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate concepts into functional layouts.
• Understanding of Architecture principles and their application to interior spaces.
• Ability to produce and interpret Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience or coursework related to FF&E selection, including materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting.
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic presentation tools.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a studio and on-site environment.
• Interest in luxury interiors, current design trends, and sustainable design practices is an advantage.
