Job summary

PGP Glass in India (Gujarat) is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to oversee the upkeep of all plant equipment, implement preventive maintenance, and manage breakdown responses. The role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams, scheduling weekly mechanical tasks, and maintaining logs.

The ideal candidate will monitor operations, identify issues early, ensure proper allocation of tasks, and drive adherence to KRAs. Knowledge of AHU systems and 5S housekeeping is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance of all equipment, including preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Manage, monitor, and maintain all plant equipment to ensure optimum performance and identify any abnormal functioning or damage.
• Execute weekly scheduled mechanical maintenance activities as per the maintenance plan.
• Monitor hourly work progress, identify key areas requiring attention to resolve ongoing maintenance issues, and report them to senior team members.
• Participate in daily preventive maintenance activities and prepare summary reports.
• Ensure proper allocation of maintenance activities to appropriately skilled personnel.
• Collect daily feedback and maintain records of abnormalities observed during plant rounds.
• Identify the spare parts required to resolve maintenance issues and prepare a list of spares that need replacement.
• Handle the assigned shift independently.
• Perform preventive maintenance of Air Handling Unit (AHU) systems.
• Maintain daily maintenance logbook entries.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and implementation of 5S practices in the Maintenance Department.
• Coordinate with all departments to resolve maintenance-related issues.
• Ensure achievement of all Key Result Areas (KRAs) as directed by the management.
• Coordinate all maintenance activities with cross-functional teams during the shift.
• Coordinate and liaise with the Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL) team for related activities.
