Walplast Products in Tamil Nadu requires a maintenance technician to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include maintaining spare parts inventories, preparing work orders, and ensuring safety, SOP, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Experience using MS Office and SAP.
• Experience in cement or construction-based industries is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Inspect machinery and utility systems to prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and raise material requisitions as needed.
• Coordinate with Production to plan maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
• Update maintenance records, logs, and reports ensuring accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental regulations and SOPs.
• Participate in RCA and implement corrective actions for failures.
• Support installation, commissioning, validation, and testing of new equipment.
• Maintain truck loading conveyor systems for uninterrupted material movement.

Role & responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, and utility systems to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize production downtime.
• Execute maintenance schedules and complete work orders within specified timelines.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, checklists, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental regulations, and company standards.
• Coordinate with Production and Operations teams for effective maintenance planning and execution.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and initiate material requisitions as required.
• Obtain spare parts quotations, evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions for equipment failures.
• Support installation, commissioning, validation, and testing of new equipment and utilities.
• Maintain and support the operation of truck loading conveyor systems to ensure uninterrupted material movement.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure proper maintenance of work areas.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and company policies.

Preferred candidate profile
