Job summary

ReNew is seeking a Junior Engineer - Wind O&M to join the team in Karnataka. You will be responsible for safe and efficient operation and maintenance of wind turbines, attending breakdown calls, and ensuring smooth WTG operation.

You will share ownership of wind energy components and support PM schedules on site. The role requires 1–3 years of experience with ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and prior SGRE turbine exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in wind turbine operations and maintenance is preferred.
• Understanding of SGRE turbine technology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Online monitoring and operation of wind turbines and related components.
• Undertake breakdown maintenance and document service reports.
• Perform routine monthly checks on external windfarm equipment.
• Record and upload daily generation readings and service data.
• Support calibration, major BD activities, and OEM tasks as needed.

General Job Description

The Wind turbine Junior Engineer will act as part of team to achieve safe and efficient Operation and Maintenance of WTG. To attend the breakdown calls & to ensure the smooth operation of the WPP. To share ownership of WECs along with PM team for execution of PM as per stipulated Schedules. The Wind Technician will report directly to the site In charge and indirectly to the Site In charge. Responsible for performing all 24 x 7 Operation of WTGs, preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on WTGs in safe and efficient manner. Also responsible for all site related activities such as Safety Management, Documentation, Material management etc. Specific Experience in SGRE Turbine technology.

Specific Responsibilities

• Online monitoring & operation of WTGss, & associated windfarm componentry.
• Experience of SGRE make turbine technology is preferred.
• Undertake breakdown maintenance, document & maintain the service reports.
• Perform monthly checks on the external electric windfarm componentry.
• Undertake, document & maintain the Daily generation readings - machine wise & EB meter wise.
• Uploading of productivity performance data on SAP/DGR Portal
• Uploading of routine service data / service orders on SAP periodically
• Electric retrofitting’s of hardware & software updating time to time.
• Support & undertake the need based special measurements – blade angle
• Calibration, Major BDs, OEM activity support etc
