ReNew, a leading renewable energy company, invites an Engineer - Wind O&M (SGRE Turbine) for its Nimbagullu-site in Andhra Pradesh. Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 3–6 years of relevant experience is sought to maintain wind turbines.

You will be part of a team handling preventive and corrective maintenance on WTGs, ensuring safety, documentation, and timely execution. The role requires hands-on capability with heavy rotating machinery and familiarity with SAP for PM activities.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance.
• Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work at site locations (Nimbagullu, Andhra Pradesh).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of WTGs per maintenance schedule.
• Follow Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, operations and upgrades.
• Verify work meets requirements and inspect electrical connections.
• Document all work performed and report issues.
• Use SAP for PM data entry and material requisitions.

General Job Description

The Wind Mechanical Engineer/Mechanic will act as part of team to achieve safe and efficient turbine maintenance. The Wind Mechanic reports directly to the Section In charge and indirectly to the Site In charge. Responsible for performing all preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on WTGs in safe and efficient manner. Responsible for installing and repairing heavy rotating machinery used mainly in power generation applications, Turbines, and Generators as directed.

Specific Responsibilities

• Performing Preventive maintenance of the WEC as per stipulated maintenance schedule along with the PM Team.
• Follow all assigned Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
• Perform mechanical maintenances, operations and upgrades
• Verify that the work is completed in compliance the requirements
• Verify electrical connections and schematics
• Document all work performed
• Report policy or procedure violation
• Submit progress reports / Repair or replace parts
• Possess knowledge about specific activity tools and be able to use them safely.
• Work unsupervised on any part of an equipment maintenance project.
• Align machines and equipment for PM work, Dismantle and assemble machinery or equipment as per requirement
• To associate during quality and inspections audits towards learning on the job.
• To report on completion of the identified issues during WTG Health Audits.
• To raise requisition for unplanned / pending work related materials with SCM.
• To proactively check availability of PM material at site / regional sites in line with the plan.
• Usage of SAP at sites for timely data feeding of PM activities.
• To take the corrective action on defects.
• To support routine operation team during high wind times for O&M of WEC.
