Job summary

Flex is seeking a Junior Engineer – Machine programming to support SMT manufacturing in Pune. You will work with electronics teams on PCBA processes, read BOMs and drawings, and help drive process improvements for cost and throughput.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related experience, a BE/B.Tech in electronics, and strong English communication. This role is on site in Pune with multiple shift options in a global setting.

Qualifications

• BE, ECE, EEE, E&Tc, E&I degree required.
• Candidates must come from Electronics Manufacturing / Process Engineering.
• Experience in PCBA process, manufacturing or assembly processes.
• Experience with technical document preparation.
• Knowledge of SMT process and offline programming.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
• Good analytical skills and logical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Support SMT manufacturing and process engineering activities daily.
• Read BOMs, SMT CAD drawings and assembly schematics accurately.
• Identify process improvements and implement actions for throughput.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance designs and processes.
• Prepare and provide testing/inspection reports to customers.
• Lead training and mentoring of teammates when needed.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Junior Engineer –Machine programming in Pune.

What a typical day looks like:

• Electronics SMT Manufacturing / Process Engineering field knowledge is preferred
• Knowledge on Electronic Components Identification
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed documents such as bill of materials, SMT Cad and assembly drawings
• Adhere to process and look for possible process improvements
• Work with other engineering team members to improve existing design or Process.
• Excellent knowledge of entire SMT manufacturing, assembly process & SMT Machines programming tools / software’s
• Initiate & implement actions for continuous monitoring and improvement of SMT process in accordance with customer requirements, technical specifications of equipment and internal procedures.
• Provide testing and inspection activities, reports to customers.
• Manage development projects that are designed to meet customer product specifications.
• Develop, test and implement new materials and processes for improved performance and/or lower cost and lead cost reduction efforts in assigned process areas.
• Lead initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Component placements and machine optimization.
• Determines quality/testing methods/procedures on new assignments. Decisions may affect department/function.
• May conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees.
• Demonstrates knowledge of advanced technologies as well as functional techniques and improves processes.
• Conflict resolution, Coaching & mentoring skills.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• 1 t0 2 Yrs of exp with Qualifications BE, ECE, EEE, E&TC , E&I.
• Candidates Must from Electronics Manufacturing / Process Engineering field
• Experience in PCBA Process / Manufacturing / Assembly Process
• Experienced in technical document preparation.
• Knowledge in SMT process and offline programming.
• Good English Communication skill.
• Should have good Microsoft Excel, Power Point & Word skills
• Good analytical skills, logical thinking.
• Day shift but Employee should be open for all Shifts/ flexible shift timings as it is Global role
