Job description

The Mechanical Technician will play a crucial role in the assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace components and systems. This position requires good exposure & experience in mechanical systems & attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of hands‑on experience with the assembly and integration of aerospace systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, integrate, and test aerospace components and systems according to engineering specifications and standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate assembly and integration of parts.
  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair on aerospace systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Perform mechanical operations such as drilling, cutting, grinding, riveting and sheet metal work.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on design and assembly processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize precision tools and equipment to measure, align, and assemble mechanical components with high accuracy.
  • Conduct functional tests and inspections to ensure systems meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Document assembly procedures, test results, and any deviations from standard practices, maintaining accurate records.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI Fitter or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in aerospace assembly and integration, with a good exposure to aerospace mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
  • Hands‑on experience with precision tools, measurement equipment, and mechanical assembly techniques.
  • Hands‑on experience with machinery such as drilling machine, cutting machine, grinding machine, rivet gun, etc.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance practices.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail‑oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and accuracy.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move components (up to 20 kg) and work in various physical conditions.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights if required.
