Responsibilities

• Handle assigned students and provide support throughout their study abroad application journey.
• Coordinate with students regarding documents, requirements, deadlines, and updates.
• Start, complete, and submit student applications on university portals accurately and on time.
• Review forms and documents for completeness before submission.
• Maintain accurate student records and application trackers.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Education Counsellor with an interest in study abroad admissions and student support. The role is ideal for someone who understands or is keen to develop expertise in the end-to-end university application process, including student handling, documentation, university applications, data management, and administrative coordination.

Requirements

• 0-1 year of experience in an education consultancy or study abroad domain; freshers with relevant knowledge or internship experience are also welcome.
• Prior knowledge or understanding of the study abroad and university application process is preferred.
• Familiarity with university application portals and application submission/punching processes.
• Ability to handle students professionally and coordinate application-related requirements and updates.
• Ability to maintain student data, application records, and documentation accurately.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite; knowledge of basic design tools is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, with a proactive approach and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle assigned students and provide support throughout their study abroad application journey.
• Coordinate with students regarding documents, application requirements, deadlines, and pending information.
• Start, complete, and submit student applications on university application portals accurately and within the required deadlines.
• Review application forms and supporting documents to ensure completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Assist with university and course application coordination and maintain timely application updates.
• Maintain accurate student records, application trackers, documentation status, and follow-up records.
• Coordinate with universities, internal counsellors, and other team members regarding application-related requirements.
• Support students with basic guidance regarding the application process and university requirements.
• Assist with meetings, documentation, reporting, and day-to-day operational tasks related to student applications.
• Conduct meetings with new/prospective students and clients to understand their academic background, study abroad goals, and requirements, and provide an initial overview of Global Scholar's services and application support process.
• Collaborate with the team on outreach, events, and campaigns as required.
• The scope of work is not limited to the duties mentioned here and may include other responsibilities assigned from time to time.
