Vilas Business Solutions in HYDERABAD is seeking a Die Design Engineer with sheet metal forming expertise. You will design, develop, and optimize progressive, transfer, and stage dies, creating CAD models and defining die requirements to meet customer specs and quality standards.

The role involves collaboration with tooling, manufacturing, and QA teams, DFM reviews, and maintaining die documentation. Bachelor’s/ diploma in Mechanical Eng or Tool Design preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in die design for sheet metal parts.
• Strong knowledge of metal forming processes, die types, tolerances, and materials.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop dies for sheet metal components including progressive, Transfer, and Stage dies.
• Create 2D and 3D CAD models using VISI/NX/CATIA.
• Analyse part drawings and define die requirements (material type, press capacity, tolerances).
• Perform DFM reviews to ensure tool feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare detailed die design drawings, BOMs, and documentation for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with toolmakers, machinists, and manufacturing teams to support die build and try-out.
• Troubleshoot die issues and make modifications for optimization during try-outs or production.
• Maintain documentation for die maintenance, revisions, and engineering changes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Die Design Engineer with expertise in sheet metal forming processes to design, develop, and optimize progressive, compound, and transfer dies. The ideal candidate will work closely with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to deliver high-precision tooling solutions that meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop dies for sheet metal components including progressive, Transfer, and Stage dies.
• Create 2D and 3D CAD models using software such as VISI preferable/ NX, Catia
• Analyse part drawings and define die requirements (material type, press capacity, tolerances, etc.).
• Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews to ensure tool feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
