Job summary

Mettler-Toledo International, Inc. seeks a data-driven pricing analytics professional to support the Global Pricing team. You will develop predictive models, analyze large datasets, and translate findings into actionable pricing strategies.

The role requires experience with SQL, Python/R, ML, and dashboarding tools like Power BI or Tableau, with exposure to cloud analytics platforms. Excellent communication with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; master's preferred in a quantitative discipline.
• 1–3 years in Data Science, Analytics, Pricing Analytics, or related field.
• Experience with SQL, Python, R; strong Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with NLP, Generative AI, Deep Learning, or LLMs is a plus.
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of pricing, revenue analytics, and profitability analytics.

Responsibilities

• Support the Global Pricing team to understand and optimize commercial performance across products, services, and geographies.
• Assess internal data practices and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insights for stakeholders.
• Develop new and optimize existing predictive analytics and machine learning models.
• Collaborate with data specialists across functions to harmonize best practices and data access.
• Mentor and train Global Pricing on current data practices and techniques.
• Demonstrate quantifiable results from analytics initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Global Pricing team in their mandate to understand and optimize commercial performance across all products, services, and geographies
• Inventory, then assess, internal data practices and tools used by the group with the intention of improving: efficiency (doing more in less time), accuracy (higher confidence results), and flexibility (leverage existing data assets more fully to drive more business insights to internal stakeholders).
• Develop new, and optimize existing, predictive analytics and machine learning models.
• Interact with other data specialists across the company in different functions to harmonize best practices and gain access to larger pool of available data.
• Mentor and train members of Global Pricing in current "state of the art" data practices and techniques.
• Be able, willing, and eager to show quantifiable results.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

Education, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree required (master's preferred) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Pricing Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets using SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools.
• Strong proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and model evaluation techniques.
• Experience with data preparation, cleansing, transformation, and feature engineering.
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, Deep Learning, or Large Language Models is preferred.
• Experience building dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Understanding of pricing, sales, commercial performance, revenue management, or profitability analytics is preferred.
• Exposure to cloud analytics platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Business acumen with an understanding of how analytics and pricing decisions impact revenue, profitability, and customer outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and business audiences
