Job summary

Mettler Toledo in India seeks an experienced software engineer to drive full-stack development using C#/.NET 8.0, Angular, and SQL Server. You will design, implement, and maintain secure APIs and services while collaborating with global teams.

The role emphasizes DevOps practices, code quality, and scalable architectures. You will contribute to architecture discussions, perform code reviews, and ensure timely delivery with strong quality and cost awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7–10 years of development experience.
• Strong hands-on with C#/.Net stack and SQL Server.
• Experience with EF Core and RESTful services.
• Front-end experience with Angular/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and estimate efforts timeline, dependencies and risks.
• Investigate technical feasibility and suggest implementation options.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and other development team members.
• Performs design and code reviews, in the creation of module and integration test cases, as well as test automation. Proposes technical design & solution.
• Communicates the progress against the plan on the solution design and delivery.
• Platformalize components as libraries, utilities, and services and promote reuse.
• Troubleshoots and resolve defects along with root cause analysis.
• Ships product features in an Agile environment & Apply modern agile development and DevOps practices in achieving this.
• Troubleshoots, tests and maintains the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality and follow industry best practices.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while meeting quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Identify, track, and mitigate the dependencies and risks proactively.
• Ensure all development artifacts are well-documented and maintained throughout the lifecycle.
• Adhere to development coding standards and recommend continuous improvement of processes for development.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across time zones.

What You Need to Succeed

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.
• Work Experience: 7-10 years of experience in development.
• Proficient in programming languages such as C#/.Net 8.0/1.0.
• Proficient with Integrated Development Environment’s (IDE) MS Visual Studio 2019/2022/2026 and Visual Studio Code
• Hands on experience in database design with SQL server database.
• Hands on experience in ORM (Object Relational Mapping) EF Core.
• Experience in unit testing C#.Net application with frameworks like MSTest, NUnit or xUnit with Mocks.
• Experience in front end technology Angular with Typescript/Javascript.
• Experience in JavaScript testing framework like Jest.
• Strong knowledge in SOLID design principles and Design patterns
• Hands-on experience in Authentication, Authorization with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems like KeyCloack, Identity Server, Azure Entra.
• Experience in async/await for asynchronous programming.
• Experience in RESTful WebAPI/gRPC with ASP.NET Core.
• Experience in Secure Web design (Knowledge on CSRF, XSS, SSRF, OWASP).
• Knowledge in Web Analytics, application monitoring, and observability logging.
• Knowledge in REST based API integration with other systems like SAP, CRM.
• Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Git, CI/CD pipelines or equiavlent tools
• Experience in understanding and analyzing the requirements and provide the estimates.
• A passion for clean code and pragmatic, elegant design.
• Fluent in English (oral and written)

Nice to have skills/experience:

• Knowledge in multithreaded application development, including thread safety, synchronization primitives (e.g., Mutex, Semaphore, Monitor), and effective use of async/await for asynchronous programming.
• Knowledge on debugging and performance profiling skills using tools like Visual Studio Profiler, dotTrace.
• Knowledge of effectively using genAI tools for coding like github copilot/Claude code/Cursor.
• Knowledge of design tools - draw.io, Markdown, PlantUML, Mermaid
• Dependency injection pattern and IoC containers using at least one of: Autofac, Unity, Ninject, and/or DryIoC is a plus.
• Cloud exposure or work experience (Azure/AWS/Google/Docker).
• Knowledge of Static application security testing (SAST) using SonarQube, SonarLint.
• Knowledge of Laboratory domain/regulation/pharmacopoeia.
