Job summary

Hitech Digital Solutions in Ahmedabad is seeking a Junior BIM Modeler - Architecture to translate architectural designs into detailed and coordinated 3D BIM models, using Revit and AutoCAD for international projects.

You will collaborate with architects and design professionals to ensure accurate representation of design intent, develop parametric models, and produce documentation for construction teams. A minimum of 1 year in architecture/BIM is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Architecture, Structure CAD & Revit projects.
• Experience working on complex international BIM projects is preferred.
• Bachelor or higher in Civil Engineering; professional qualifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Modeling: create detailed 3D architectural BIM models (walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows).
• Design Collaboration: translate 2D drawings into comprehensive 3D BIM models with architects and design professionals.
• Model Coordination: conduct clash detection and coordinate with MEP and other systems.
• Parametric Modeling: develop parametric models for design exploration and changes.
• Detailing: produce detailed representations for construction and visualization.
• Materials and Finishes: embed material data for quantity takeoffs and procurement.
• Documentation: generate construction drawings and schedules from BIM model.
• Code Compliance: ensure models comply with local codes and standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Architectural Modeling: Creating detailed 3D models of architectural elements using BIM software. This includes exterior and interior components such as walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, and other architectural features.
• Design Collaboration: Working closely with architects and other design professionals to translate 2D drawings and conceptual designs into comprehensive 3D BIM models. Collaborating to ensure that the design intent is accurately represented in the digital model.
• Model Coordination: Conducting clash detection and coordination meetings to identify and resolve conflicts between architectural elements and other building systems (e.g., MEP systems). Ensuring seamless integration of various design disciplines.
• Parametric Modeling: Creating parametric models that allow for flexible design exploration and quick adaptation to design changes. This helps architects visualize and analyze different design options.
• Detailing: Developing detailed and accurate representations of architectural components, including intricate features and decorative elements. Ensuring that the model reflects the desired level of detail for construction and visualization purposes.
• Materials and Finishes: Incorporating information about materials and finishes into the BIM model. This data is essential for accurate quantity takeoffs, cost estimation, and procurement.
• Documentation: Generating construction documents, drawings, and schedules from the BIM model. Providing detailed documentation for construction teams, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
• Code Compliance: Ensuring that the architectural components and designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and standards. Staying informed about updates and changes in the regulatory environment.
