Job summary

Chint India Energy is seeking a Jr. SCADA Engineer (with Electrical Exp) for Bengaluru location. The role focuses on SCADA design, monitoring, and integration within Solar PV EPC/O&M environments. Strong PLC/HMI knowledge and experience with network architectures are required.

Candidates should have a graduate degree in EIC, I&C, ECE or EEE with 2+ years in Solar PV O&M and fluent English. Working hours are office-based, five days a week, with shifts from 1PM–10PM or 4PM–1AM.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in EIC, I&C, ECE or EEE Engineering with minimum 2+ years of work experience in O&M of Solar PV Renewable energy sector.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Experience in SCADA design and monitoring of the Solar EPC & O&M environment.
• Design and implementation of SCADA with network architecture based on client requirements.
• Proficiency with industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP/Modbus RTU/IEC standards).
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of SCADA (PLC and server-based) and Weather Monitoring Stations.
• Assist with Instrument Location plans, PLC Panel Layouts, I/O Wiring diagrams, Loop Diagrams.
• Understand solar PV plant operation flow and downstream effects of changes.

Job Description:

Position: Jr. SCADA Engineer (with Electrical Exp)

Location: Banglaore

Main responsibilities shall include, but not limited to:

• Experience in SCADA design and Monitoring of the SOLAR EPC & O&M environment.
• Design and Implementation of SCADA along with its Network architecture based on the clients requirement for Solar Power plant. (Minimum knowledge of Microsoft Visio)
• Basic knowledge of computer networks and handling remote connectivity with servers and Workstations
• Proficient with industrial communication protocols, like Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, IEC stds.
• Minimum knowledge of Electrical components and understand the electrical circuits.
• Communication of different field devices like Tracker, Inverters, Energy Meters, and Protection relays etc.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of SCADA (PLC and server-based) along with Weather Monitoring Stations.
• Understand, troubleshoot, document & maintain control networks.
• Assist with Instrument Location plans, PLC Panel Layouts, I/O Wiring diagrams, Loop Diagrams.
• Understand the Solar PV plant operation process flow and downstream effects of changes made to systems and identify critical issues with efficiency and experience.
• Possess understanding in the areas of PLC/HMI programming, data storage, reporting and system design including the ability to implement change.
• Provide technical support to all functional areas to optimize.
• Strong Analytical and Diagnostic capabilities to improve and maintain overall Solar PV plant performance
• Good communication skills to Co-ordinate and Assist with Client.
• Should follow Good Documentation practice in terms of Reporting and Data management
• Having good knowledge of Reporting Tools like Power BI, Eclipse will be an added advantage
• Should Passionate to learn new technologies in the SCADA and Remote Monitoring section

Qualification:

Working Hours:

• Work from office. 5 days / week.
• Either 1PM to 10PM or 4PM to 1AM.
