Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a skilled SCADA Engineer to design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for wind energy projects in Gujarat. You will collaborate with project, operations, and IT teams to ensure reliable data acquisition, remote monitoring, and cybersecurity compliance.

The role involves configuring servers, HMIs, RTUs, PLCs, and databases, supporting commissioning, field troubleshooting, and documentation for safe and efficient grid integration.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in SCADA systems, preferably in renewable energy.
• Strong knowledge of networking and industrial protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, IEC 104, OPC).
• Hands-on experience with Wind PPC, EMS, or Utility Dispatch systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations for SCADA in India.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain SCADA systems (servers, HMIs, RTUs, PLCs, databases) for wind farms.

• Develop and maintain communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850).

• Perform system testing, SAT, and commissioning of SCADA systems for new projects.
• Support remote and on-site troubleshooting of SCADA alarms, data integrity, and system availability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and utility/grid operators to ensure seamless integration and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and maintain documentation (system architecture, communication diagrams, and O&M manuals).
• Train O&M teams on SCADA system usage and monitoring tools.
