Job summary

JobItUs in Mulund - Mumbai invites a Jr. Executive - R&D with 3–6 years of experience in Chemical industry to join a standard research lab. You will design experiments, synthesize compounds, interpret IR/NMR/CMR Mass spectra and maintain meticulous lab records.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and adherence to safety norms, with opportunities to contribute to lab-to-plant technology transfers and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Should be well versed with a standard research lab setup and be able to operate equipment and instruments.
• Should be able to design and setup experiments to achieve chemical transformations.
• Should be able to carry out synthesis based on precedence and merit of a given pathway.
• Structure determination of the organic molecules by interpretation of the IR, NMR, CMR & Mass Spectra including LCMS and GCMS.
• Maintain lab documentation and timely submission of research progress reports and process reports.

• Technology transfer from Lab to plant Executing Projects in the Lab.
• Should be able to provide intellectual input towards the progress of the project.
• Should encourage a productive and positive work atmosphere and imbue a strong work ethic.
• Seamless collaboration within global R&D and related SHK-departments.
• Team working skills combined with good communication (written and oral) and presentation skills. Good Lab Practices.
• Discourage people from working alone or from indulging in activities that deviate from accepted norms.
• Working knowledge of first-aid.
