Job summary

Scimplify, a specialty chemicals company based in Bengaluru, is seeking a proactive Project Manager with a Chemistry background to support its R&D operations. The role acts as a bridge between the R&D team and business units, ensuring timely updates and efficient project execution.

The candidate will coordinate material requirements, maintain documentation in Excel, and ensure safety and compliance across chemical handling and lab activities, with travel across Pan India as required.

Qualifications

• B.Sc or M.Sc in Chemistry is mandatory.
• 5+ years in an R&D or chemical industry environment.
• Strong understanding of chemicals, laboratory workflows, and R&D processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact between R&D and business teams for project updates.
• Track project progress, timelines, and deliverables.
• Gather status updates on ongoing research activities and escalate delays when needed.
• Coordinate material requirements—identify what is needed, check availability, and follow up for procurement.
• Maintain project documentation, data sheets, reports, and trackers in Excel.
• Facilitate communication between internal teams, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals.
• Visit the Pan India R&D site periodically to review progress and collect updates.
• Support R&D managers in planning, resource allocation, and execution of project activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and safety standards in handling chemicals and lab-related activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Excel (reports, tracking sheets, data management).

• Flexibility to travel as and when required.
