Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned Java software developer to design, implement, and maintain Java applications, RESTful services, and frontend components as part of integrated systems.

You will collaborate across cross-functional teams in Agile ceremonies, contribute to code reviews, ensure quality through testing, and help optimize performance, security, and scalability while staying current with Java technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience in Java software development.
Strong knowledge of Java and the Java EE platform.
Experience with Java 8 or later and current supported Java versions.
Experience with Spring, Hibernate, or JSF.
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Understanding of RESTful web services and API integration.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Experience with Git or equivalent version control systems.
Experience across software design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and production support.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, scalable, and testable code.
Experience participating in code reviews and applying software development standards.
Experience debugging and resolving complex technical issues.
Working knowledge of cloud computing concepts and infrastructure.
Understanding of cloud deployment, scalability, availability, monitoring, and configuration.
Understanding of object-oriented programming, Java collections, exception handling, multithreading, data structures, and algorithms.
Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, database integration, transactions, indexing, and database performance.
Experience with unit and integration testing.
Understanding of secure software development, authentication, authorization, access controls, encryption, and secure data handling.
Ability to identify and address common web application security risks.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
Certifications in Java, cloud computing, Agile, software architecture, or related technologies are preferred but not mandatory unless required for a project
Complete Synechron-required training on information security, data protection, software development standards, and responsible technology use
