Job summary

Tata Elxsi, Inc. is seeking a skilled Infotainment Validation Engineer to lead end-to-end validation for vehicle infotainment systems and HMI functions. You will define validation strategy, develop plans, and manage test schedules across bench, labcar, and vehicle testing environments.

The role requires strong experience in multimedia, audio/video, Bluetooth, OTA updates, and vehicle networks, with a focus on traceability and defect resolution. Collaboration with OEMs and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in IVI system validation and testing.
• Expertise in Multimedia, Audio, Video and Navigation testing including Bluetooth, USB.
• Familiarity with Vehicle network protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Knowledge of Automotive SPICE and V-Model lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end validation activities for Infotainment systems and related vehicle HMI functions.
• Define overall infotainment validation strategy and test plans.

• Coordinate with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end validation activities for Infotainment systems and related vehicle HMI functions.
• Define overall infotainment validation strategy.
• Develop Validation Master Plan (VMP), DVP&R, and test schedules.
• Estimate testing effort, resource requirements, and timelines.
• Define validation entry and exit criteria.
• Lead test execution activities involving bench testing, labcar testing, vehicle testing.
• Ensure requirements-to-test traceability and validation coverage.
• Develop test cases for Audio functions, Radio (AM/FM/DAB),Bluetooth,Navigation,Android Auto,Apple CarPlay Voice Recognition,Connected Services,OTA Updates,Media Playback,USB Interfaces,Vehicle Settings,Telephony Functions, Telematics Features
• Review and approve test cases, test reports, defect reports, and release recommendations.
• Lead defect triage meetings and coordinate issue resolution with development teams.
• Coordinate with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE, cybersecurity, and OEM validation processes.
• Mentor validation engineers and provide technical leadership to the team.
• Support audits, customer reviews, and quality assessments.
