Job summary

Schaeffler India Ltd. in Hosur is seeking an experienced IT Support professional to manage local IT assets, ensure service delivery, and support site operations. You will collaborate with regional IT and business teams to implement IT policies, procure local equipment, and maintain the location scorecard.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 5+ years of IT experience, strong ITSM knowledge, and excellent communication. Location: Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in IT support ticketing systems, network and client-server hardware troubleshooting, and IT administration.
• Good knowledge of IT general controls and IT Service Management, with strong communication and consulting skills.
• Hands-on, practical, and down-to-earth attitude with a proactive and collaborative working style.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to the applicable IT Policy, Edge IT policy, and Corporate IT regulations.
• Support local budget planning, requirement gathering, and maintain the location scorecard.
• Manage local IT assets, including servers, PCs, licenses, and related equipment, and monitor their lifecycle and external resources.
• Ensure procurement and provision of local IT equipment and services for site operations including installation, moves, changes, disposal and break/fix support..

• Perform additional related tasks assigned by the superior and report to superior all the above topics periodically.
• Support end users with IT devices and act as the first point of escalation for business IT issues including end-user services, advisory, and support related to Employee IT, Infrastructure, IT Security, and complianceofferings.
• Manage external desk side support resources and Provide IT support to management and local events when required.
• Support local applications, cloud solutions, and site-specific IT requirements in line with Group IT Demand management processes.
• Coordinate with external service providers supporting local applications and hardware, communication and external resources.
• Support group IT projects, initiatives which comes through regional product line responsible
• Serve as local backup administrator

Your Qualifications
