Job summary

Innomech Aerospace Toolings is seeking a System Administrator to manage and secure our IT infrastructure from the Karnataka site. You will oversee servers, virtualization, backups, and assistance for end-users, ensuring reliable operations.

You will install, configure, and maintain systems, diagnose issues, and implement automation to streamline IT workflows while upholding security and data protection standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in IT, network, or system administration.
• Strong knowledge of systems, networking software, hardware, and protocols.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers and automation processes.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics and documenting resolutions.
• Troubleshoot network issues and internet connection problems.
• Provide documentation and technical specifications for IT upgrades.
• Perform regular backups and implement data protection, DR, and failover procedures.
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support to resolve issues with minimal disruption.
• Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
• Install and configure multimedia, software, hardware and networks.
• Create domain user accounts and manage access rights.
• Security awareness: ensure security via access controls and firewalls.
• Maintain biometric attendance and generate monthly reports.
• Issue access cards to new employees.

Job brief:

As a System administrator, you are responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of company computer systems, servers, and data security systems. You are responsible for ensuring that the internal IT structure of the enterprise remains up-to-date.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Troubleshoot network issues and internet connection issues
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
• Install and configure multimedia, software, hardware and networks
• Creating domain user accounts, and allocation and account validity
• Windows Server 2012 and network storage experience is a plus
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Maintain biometric attendance and download monthly reports
• Issuing access cards to new employees
• Maintain all organization infrastructure including the LED projectors and intercom
• Ensuring security and efficiency of overall IT infrastructure

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
• 3-5 years of IT, network administration, or system administration experience
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
• Experience with servers and networks (LAN, WAN)
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
• System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent is a plus
• Familiarity with multimedia software is an added advantage
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Good communication skills
