Job summary

ASSPL Karnataka is seeking an Ops Tech IT Support Engineer to provide frontline IT assistance for Amazon Operations sites in Karnataka. You will handle device maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-user support across multiple facilities, with travel within the region as needed.

Join a fast-paced environment focused on speed and accuracy, where you will collaborate with Senior Engineers and ensure safety procedures are followed during on-site work.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of corporate OS support (Windows/Mac/Linux)
• Experience troubleshooting integrated computer systems
• Experience maintaining Zebra printers and handheld devices

Responsibilities

• Maintain IT equipment across Fulfillment sites.
• Troubleshoot PCs, wireless handhelds, thin clients, printers and end-user devices.
• Manage RMA and repair workflow for devices under warranty.
• Support Senior Engineers on projects and activities.
• We have a 5-day work week with off days rotating based on shift patterns and business needs.
• Travel between sites within the region and uphold safety procedures.

About The Role

Ops Tech IT Support Engineers will be responsible for utilizing their skills to provide assistance to the operations team in resolving technical problems within these sites that cover a multitude of technical disciplines. The IT Support Engineers position is the first level of support for the operations of the Amazon Sites and becomes the voice and face of the IT department to our customers.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Maintenance of IT equipment throughout the Fullfillment sites.
• Troubleshooting of all IT related equipment such as PCs, wireless handheld devices, thin clients, printers and other end user devices.
• Manage RMA and repair process for all devices under warranty.
• Support the Senior Engineers in daily projects and activities as directed.
• We have a 5-day work week but given the 7 days a week operation, the 2 scheduled days off will vary based on shift patterns and business needs.
• The position will require supporting of multiple buildings around the area and flexible to travel to sites with in the state /region.
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
• Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems
• Experience maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certifications
• Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
