Evarastaffing in India is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing of Data Center IT infrastructure, ensuring timely availability, cost optimization, and contractual compliance for DC projects.

The role involves handling procurement for servers, storage, networking, racks, licenses, software, and services, coordinating with IT, project teams, SI partners, and vendors to meet BOMs and SLAs.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years exclusive IT procurement experience for Data Center infrastructure.
• Ability to read IT BOQs and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of ERP/procurement tools and digitization of procurement.

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of servers, storage, HCI, network devices, and security gear.
• Procure racks, structured cabling, licenses, OS, virtualization, backup, and monitoring tools.
• Manage CAPEX and OPEX procurement separately and sign contracts.
• Run RFQs/RFPs, compare techno-commercials, and negotiate discounts.
• Maintain vendor databases, price history, and ensure GST/TDS compliance.
• Coordinate with IT, design, project, and operations for BOMs and specs.

• The position involves handling procurement for critical components including servers, storage, networking, fiber connections, security, racks, structured cabling, licenses, and associated services.

About The Opportunity

• This role is focused on managing the end-to-end procurement of Data Center IT infrastructure, ensuring timely availability, cost optimization, contractual compliance, and alignment with project schedules and operational requirements.
• The position involves handling procurement for critical components including servers, storage, networking, fiber connections, security, racks, structured cabling, licenses, and associated services.

Role & Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of: Servers, Storage, HCI.
• Procure Network devices including Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, etc.
• Manage procurement of Racks, KVM, PDU (IT side), structured cabling, and IT accessories/peripherals for DC environment.
• Procure Software licenses, OS, virtualization, backup, and monitoring tools.
• Manage Fiber connection from ISPs and establish Rate Contracts for IT devices and infrastructure.
• Handle CAPEX and OPEX procurement distinctly.
• Work closely with IT, Design, Business Development, Project, and Operation teams to understand technical BOQs and specifications.
• Float RFQs/RFPs based on detailed BOQs.
• Conduct detailed techno-commercial comparison with OEMs and system integrators.
• Evaluate compatibility, scalability, and lifecycle aspects along with commercials.
• Drive standardization of OEMs and products across Data Centres.
• Sign up Software License / IT infrastructure agreements.
• Finalize POs, rate contracts, and procurement terms.
• Maintain procurement MIS, vendor database, and price history.
• Ensure GST, TDS, and statutory compliance in procurement.
• Lead digitization of the procurement process.
• Coordinate directly with OEMs and maintain relationships.
• Manage System Integrators (SI) and channel partners.
• Conduct price negotiations, deal registrations, and discount optimization.
• Ensure back-to-back warranty, support, and SLA alignment.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Strong understanding of Data Center IT infrastructure components.
• Ability to read and understand IT BOQs and technical specs.
• Strong techno-commercial negotiation skills.
• Vendor/OEM management expertise.
• Knowledge of DC project lifecycle.
• Understanding of warranty, AMC, and SLA structures.
• Good knowledge of ERP / procurement tools and digitization of procurement process.
• B.E. / B.Tech in IT, Electronics, or Computer Engineering with 5–6 years of exclusive experience in IT procurement, specifically for Data Center IT infrastructure.
