Job summary

SGS India is seeking an experienced IT/OT professional with a strong background in the power distribution sector to supervise, implement, and support the integration of IT applications and OT solutions, including AMI/AMR projects and smart metering systems, under government schemes such as DDUGJY, R-APDRP, and IPDS.

The role involves coordinating with utilities, vendors, and stakeholders, monitoring progress, and delivering technical documentation and progress reports.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in IT, Computer Applications or equivalent.
• 9+ years of experience in the power distribution sector.
• Experience supervising or implementing IT/OT projects under DDUGJY, R-APDRP, IPDS or similar power sector schemes.
• Experience in implementing, supervising, or integrating applications such as Billing Solutions, CIS, CRM, ERP, SCADA, MDMS, and MDAS.
• Must have experience in a minimum of 3 AMI/AMR-based projects.
• Must have experience in at least 1 additional IT/OT solution supervision or implementation project apart from AMI/AMR.

• Monitor project progress, resolve implementation-related issues, and ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Support integration between smart metering systems and other IT/OT applications.
• Prepare project progress reports, implementation updates, and technical documentation.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in AMI/AMR projects, smart metering systems, and power distribution IT initiatives under government schemes such as DDUGJY, R-APDRP, and IPDS.

• Supervise and implement IT/OT projects in the power distribution sector under DDUGJY, R-APDRP, IPDS, or other relevant schemes.


• Monitor project execution, implementation, and integration of power utility IT applications.


• Coordinate the implementation and integration of applications such as Billing Solutions, Customer Information Systems (CIS), CRM, ERP, SCADA, MDMS, and MDAS.


• Supervise AMI/AMR‑based smart metering projects and ensure effective implementation.


• Coordinate with power utilities, technology vendors, system integrators, and project stakeholders.


• Monitor project progress, resolve implementation‑related issues, and ensure adherence to project requirements.


• Support integration between smart metering systems and other IT/OT applications.


• Prepare project progress reports, implementation updates, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• BE/B.Tech in IT, Computer Applications, or a relevant discipline.


• Minimum 9 years of experience in the power distribution sector.


• Experience supervising or implementing IT/OT projects under DDUGJY, R-APDRP, IPDS, or similar power sector schemes.


• Experience in the implementation, supervision, or integration support of applications such as Billing Solutions, CIS, CRM, ERP, SCADA, MDMS, and MDAS.


• Must have experience in a minimum of 3 AMI/AMR‑based projects.


• Must have experience in at least 1 additional IT/OT solution supervision or implementation project, apart from the AMI/AMR experience.


• Knowledge of AMI integration with other power utility applications will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in power distribution utilities, smart metering projects, AMI/AMR implementation, and utility IT/OT system integration will be preferred.
