Job summary

Platinum Industries seeks an experienced IT Sr Manager to oversee IT infrastructure for Head Office and manufacturing plant operations, including SAP coordination, ERP/CRM implementation, cybersecurity, and data backup.

You will lead multi-location IT teams, ensure uptime across HO and plants, manage vendor relations, and drive digital transformation and process automation to support a growing FMCG business.

IT Sr Manager Job Description

Location: HO & Plant Operations
Department: Information Technology
Reporting To: CFO

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to manage and strengthen the IT infrastructure for both Head Office and manufacturing plant operations. The role will be responsible for SAP coordination, network management, ERP/CRM implementation, cybersecurity, hardware/software support, data backup, and overall IT operations management across locations.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Network Management

• Manage complete IT infrastructure for HO and manufacturing plants.
• Ensure smooth functioning of servers, systems, internet, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, CCTV, biometric, and networking equipment.
• Monitor network security, firewall management, antivirus systems, and access controls.
• Handle troubleshooting and minimize downtime of IT systems and production-related connectivity.

SAP / ERP / CRM Management

• Coordinate and support SAP operations for all departments.
• Work closely with users for SAP issue resolution, enhancements, and process alignment.
• Lead implementation and maintenance of new CRM/software systems.
• Coordinate with external vendors and software partners for upgrades and support.
• Ensure proper integration between ERP, CRM, attendance systems, and reporting tools.

Data Security & Backup

• Implement and monitor data backup policies and disaster recovery systems.
• Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain server backup, cloud backup, and recovery processes.

Hardware & Software Management

• Manage procurement, installation, and maintenance of laptops, desktops, printers, tablets, scanners, and IT assets.
• Maintain software licenses, renewals, and asset tracking.
• Ensure timely support for all hardware and software-related issues.

Manufacturing Plant IT Support

• Support plant automation systems and production-related IT requirements.
• Coordinate with plant teams for machine connectivity and system integration.
• Ensure uninterrupted IT support for factory operations and shifts.

Team Management

• Lead and manage the IT support team across HO and plant locations.
• Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure timely closure of tickets/issues.
• Train employees on IT systems, cybersecurity awareness, and process improvements.

Vendor & Project Management

• Coordinate with IT vendors, AMC providers, internet providers, and software consultants.
• Handle IT budgeting, quotations, approvals, and cost optimization.
• Lead IT projects including system upgrades, digital transformation, and process automation initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 815 years of experience in IT management within manufacturing/FMCG/API/Formulation setup preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP, CRM systems, networking, cybersecurity, server management, and cloud backup.
• Experience handling multi-location IT operations.
• Good leadership, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing process automation and compliance systems will be an added advantage.

Additional Requirement / Preferred Experience

• Candidate should have experience working in a growing manufacturing setup and independently managing IT operations for an organization of around 100+ employees.
• Must have strong capability to build, streamline, and scale IT systems and infrastructure suitable for a 5001000 Cr business environment.
• Experience in setting up structured IT processes, ERP/SAP systems, networking architecture, cybersecurity controls, backup systems, and digital transformation initiatives for expanding manufacturing operations.
• Exposure to handling multi-location plant and HO coordination with future scalability planning.
• Candidate should be capable of establishing SOPs, IT governance, asset management systems, access controls, and automation processes aligned with business growth.
