Job summary

Agnikul Cosmos in Tamil Nadu is seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure Specialist to own day-to-day IT operations and contribute to projects, upgrades, and deployments across multiple sites.

You will bring strong enterprise networking experience, with exposure to firewalls, wireless, IP CCTV, and multi-site environments. This role requires independent troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and end-to-end ownership of infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking, including routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure.
• Good hands-on exposure to IP CCTV solutions, including VMS, NVRs, ONVIF, RTSP, storage, and camera deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, surveillance, and infrastructure environments.
• Experience deploying, supporting, or maintaining infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot issues and take ownership of infrastructure tasks and projects from implementation through support.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with vendors, OEMs, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and deliver infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers while continuing to contribute technically.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of IT infrastructure operations, including enterprise networking, IP surveillance, wireless, firewalls, and related systems.
• Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot network and CCTV infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Take end-to-end ownership of incidents—from identifying the issue and troubleshooting to implementing a permanent solution.
• Contribute to infrastructure expansion, upgrades, migrations, and new site deployments while remaining actively involved in implementation.
• Help build reliable, scalable, and secure network architectures with a focus on stability and minimal operational overhead.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and OEMs, and independently drive technical discussions and solutions where required.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks wherever possible and improve monitoring, alerting, and overall infrastructure visibility.
• Support and mentor junior engineers while remaining hands-on with troubleshooting, deployments, and escalations.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, BOQs, and implementation plans when required.
• Be willing to step in wherever needed, whether it's configuring a switch, diagnosing a network outage, troubleshooting CCTV infrastructure, or supporting a site deployment.

ABOUT

Agnikul Cosmos is a company incubated at IIT Madras and we build rockets that can take satellites up to 500 kg to Lower Earth Orbit (LEO). In May 2024, we successfully completed our maiden launch from our own launchpad (India's first private launchpad). The launch has proven all the new technologies developed by Agnikul and also earned recognition from Honourable Prime Minister of India.
