Job summary

Vensure is seeking a seasoned IT Systems Administrator to support engineering teams across SaaS platforms. You will diagnose and resolve full-stack issues, manage Linux and Windows servers, databases, and networks, and contribute to automation using Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.

The role requires 7–15 years of experience, a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering, and willingness to work US shift timing (6 PM–3 AM IST). Location: Noida/ Hyderabad/ Trivandrum with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• High level knowledge of Linux and Windows servers, databases, and networking.
• Experience with automation tools Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
• Experience with Docker CE and VMware in a managed service environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Engineering Teams to facilitate development and testing activities.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve full application stack problems including network connectivity, SSL, and debugging.
• Perform standard system administration duties: server install, patch management, log analysis, and account setup.
• Create and maintain documentation on server and network topology and configurations.
• Advance automation and configuration management practices.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
• Lead projects and mentor junior staff.

Employment Type: Full-time / 5 Days a week

Shift Timing: US Shift Timing (6 PM - 3 AM IST)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support to the Engineering Teams to facilitate development and testing activities
• Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve full application stack problems, end-to-end, including network connectivity, traffic utilization, authentication, ssl, and application debugging.
• Standard system administration duties including server install, system/application install, patch management, log analysis, and customer account setup.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment, and configuration(s)
• Continue to evolve the use of automation and configuration management
• Participate in the creation, maintenance, testing, and execution of the Disaster Recovery plan
• Work with hosting services, managed service providers, and contracted support to deliver innovative solutions for a wide range of product and service offerings.
• Assist in capacity planning activities, to include creating and presenting technical specifications and requirements for purchasing of new servers and networking equipment
• Participate in after-hours upgrades, maintenance troubleshooting, and on-call availability as needed.
• Function as a project lead to ensure major projects are kept on track and key deliverables met
• Function as a team lead and be able to mentor and train junior personnel

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering, plus 7+ years of relevant experience
• High level of knowledge with Linux Servers, Windows Servers, Databases, and Networking
• Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible
• Experience with Docker CE as well as Docker Data Center infrastructure or equivalent
• Design level expertise for SaaS operating platforms
• Knowledge of VMware virtual systems and cloud infrastructure, in a managed service environment
• Strong scripting knowledge
• Excellent problem solving and effective research skills
• Good customer service skills
• Dedication and willingness to work some alternative schedules as necessary
• Industry certifications are strongly desired: Red Hat (RHCSA/RHCE), Windows (MCSA / MCSE), and/or Network (CCNA, CCNA Security)
• SOC2 or equivalent compliance experience strongly desired
• Project management experience in a hands‑on role
