Job summary

Golden Homes in Chennai is seeking an IT Administrator with strong networking and IT infrastructure skills to manage and maintain our organization's IT systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, DHCP/DNS, VPNs, firewall and Wi‑Fi, plus Windows server administration and hardware troubleshooting. You will support daily operations, backups, security, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on networking experience in an IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT and VPN.
• Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and Windows server administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Configure network connectivity, IPs, DHCP/DNS, VPNs, and security.
• Install and maintain computers, printers, servers, and IT devices.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Document network topologies and asset records; coordinate with ISPs/vendors.
• Manage user accounts and access control.
• Ensure backups and basic IT security practices.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled IT Administrator with strong knowledge of computer networking, IT infrastructure, and troubleshooting to manage and maintain our organization's IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls


• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity and internet issues


• Manage IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network security


• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, servers, and other IT equipment


• Monitor network and system performance and resolve technical issues


• Handle IT hardware and software troubleshooting


• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control


• Configure and troubleshoot CCTV, biometric systems, and other network-connected devices


• Maintain IT documentation, network diagrams, and asset records


• Coordinate with internet service providers and external IT vendors when required


• Ensure regular backups and basic IT security practices

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Networking fundamentals


• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPN


• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points


• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic server administration

Preferred

• CCNA or equivalent networking certification


• Experience with MikroTik, Cisco, Fortinet, TP-Link, Ubiquiti, or similar networking equipment


• Experience managing office IT infrastructure


• Basic knowledge of virtualization and cloud services
