Overview

Role Summary: We are hiring ITAM Operations Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support a client IT Asset Management engagement. You will execute day-to-day ITAM operations across Flexera ONE, Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), license compliance support, and reporting, ensuring high-quality data, stable platform operations, and timely deliverables.

Responsibilities

Flexera ONE Operations & Data Loads

• Monitor inventory feeds, connectors, agents, imports, and scheduled jobs
• Validate data latency, failures, and processing issues; follow runbooks and raise incidents
• Support platform admin tasks (as assigned): access requests, user/role changes, configuration updates (OOTB)

HAM Operations (Hardware Governance Support)

• Track discovery coverage and scan freshness; support remediation of gaps
• Identify and resolve stale/duplicate/orphaned asset exceptions
• Support reconciliation/normalization checks and ownership/location/cost center completeness
• Maintain asset-to-contract/lease attributes and assist lease reporting

Software Inventory & Normalization (IT Visibility)

• Manage unknown/unrecognized software queues and improve recognition outcomes
• Maintain publisher/product/version hygiene and validate software-device/user links
• Support onboarding/testing of new data sources/connectors and long-tail visibility

License Compliance & ELP Support

• Maintain and validate entitlement records and supporting documentation
• Support license model configuration inputs (metrics, rules, mappings) under guidance
• Assist periodic ELP runs, data validation, and compliance/risk reporting
• Support audit evidence collection and response preparation (in-scope publishers)

Request, Allocation & Reclaim (Operational Support)

• Validate license availability; record allocations/transfers/reclaims in Flexera
• Support harvesting/offboarding workflows; coordinate with ITSM/deployment teams
• Track request turnaround times and aging; maintain allocation traceability

Reporting & Governance Support

• Produce/refresh operational reports and dashboards (HAM/SAM/data quality)
• Maintain exception logs, action trackers, and remediation status updates
• Contribute to weekly/monthly governance packs and insights

Key Focus Areas

• Weekly/Monthly operational reports and dashboard updates
• Exception reports (missing attributes, duplicates/stale assets, discovery gaps)
• Unknown software and normalization progress reports
• ELP/compliance validation outputs (supporting role)
• Allocation/reclaim activity reports and turnaround metrics
• Updated runbooks/SOPs and knowledge articles (as applicable)

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 4–8+ years in ITAM operations (both HAM & SAM)
• Hands-on experience with Flexera ONE
• Working knowledge of:
• Hardware discovery and inventory controls
• Software discovery, recognition/normalization basics
• Entitlements and license compliance support processes
• Strong data skills: Excel/Sheets; comfort with large datasets and reconciliations
• Good documentation skills and operational discipline (ticketing, runbooks, SLAs)
• ITIL Foundation; IAITAM (CSAM/CHAMP) or equivalent
• Exposure to ServiceNow (or similar ITSM) workflows
• Experience with compliance activities for major publishers (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe)
