• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Set up and maintain engineering workstations for CAD, simulation, and testing.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the R&D lab IT infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day IT support to R&D engineers and staff.
• Manage basic networking, Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, and access control systems.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT standpoint.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT systems and lab efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Asset & Infrastructure Management

• Manage IT assets including laptops, desktops, servers, monitors, and peripherals.
• Track asset allocation, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.

2. Engineering Workstations & Lab Systems

• Set up and maintain engineering workstations for CAD, simulation, firmware development, and testing.
• Support lab computers, data acquisition systems, test benches, and logging systems.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of R&D lab IT infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain engineering software such as CAD/EDA tools, IDEs, and test applications.
• Manage software licenses, renewals, access control, and compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors for software procurement and support.

4. IT Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide day-to-day IT support to R&D engineers and staff.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, network, and application-related issues.
• Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of IT problems.

5. Network, Security & Backup

• Manage basic networking, Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, and access control systems.
• Ensure data backup, security, and user access policies are followed.
• Support secure access to internal servers, tools, and repositories.

6. Onboarding, Offboarding & Documentation

• Support employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT and system-access standpoint.
• Maintain IT policies, SOPs, and system documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal IT and security standards.

7. Continuous Improvement & Lab Support

• Identify opportunities to improve IT systems, workflows, and lab efficiency.
• Support expansion and scaling of R&D IT infrastructure.
• Assist in maintaining a secure, efficient, and engineer-friendly lab environment.
