Job summary

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a qualified DevOps/Platform Engineer to manage IT infrastructure and manufacturing IT applications. The role involves container deployments, incident resolution, and close collaboration with development and network teams to ensure operational excellence.

The candidate will onboard manufacturing IT applications, perform migrations, and support 24/7 operations with potential shifts and travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Strong Linux CLI and system troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Bash and YAML scripting.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins or Argo CD for automation.
• ITIL Service Management knowledge (Incident/Change/Problem).
• Experience with monitoring tools ICINGA, Grafana and ELK.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT infrastructure & Application operations for Manufacturing (i4.0) IT applications
• Perform Container based Application Deployments, Configurations and Hotfix installations
• Troubleshoot Manufacturing IT Application and infrastructure related incidents
• Collaborate with Application development, infrastructure and Network teams for day-to-day operations
• Onboarding Manufacturing IT application and configuring plant-specific settings
• Perform Application and infrastructure Migrations
• Quality delivery of services committed to the customer as per the defined Service Levels and KPI’s
• Monitor system performance and availability of applications
• Collaborate with onsite/offshore teams, Stakeholders Management, Technical documentation, and Training delivery
• Ensure customer satisfaction, escalation management, and continuous service improvement
• Provide extended support for planned maintenance and On-Call readiness
• Should be able to work in shifts and travel to customer location for business need

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :

Provide IT infrastructure & Application operations for Manufacturing (i4.0) IT applications

Perform Container based Application Deployments, Configurations and Hotfix installations

Qualifications

Experience :

3-5 Years

Mandatory/requires Skills :

Kubernetes core concepts

Containerization and Docker essentials

Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Istio Service mesh

Linux - CLI and Basic knowledge of various components work (kernel, CPU, memory, disk, network)

Scripting (Bash and YAML)

Support for Kubernetes based projects to resolve critical and complex technical issues

Infrastructure automation and DevOps tools (Ansible/ Terraform/ Jenkins/ Argo CD)

ITIL Service Management Framework (Incident, Change, Problem Management)

Preferred Skills :

Application and infrastructure Monitoring tools (ICINGA / Grafana / ELK ) Working experience in Rancher

Network infrastructure – (VPN, IPsec, Firewall, Load balancing setup and Security implementation)

Database Administration (Oracle / MySQL / Mongo)

IoT / IT for Manufacturing - i4.0 concepts

Working knowledge of various tools and open-source technologies

ITIL v3 / v4 Foundation certification preferred
