Job summary

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a DevOps/GitOps Engineer to own end-to-end deployment of manufacturing applications in a Kubernetes environment. You will manage automation, pipelines, and governance while coordinating with global teams to ensure stable releases.

The role requires 3+ years in DevOps/Kubernetes, SDLC experience, and familiarity with CI/CD, GitOps, and containerized deployments. Strong documentation and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA degree required.
• 3+ years hands-on DevOps or Kubernetes deployment experience in medium to large scale enterprise platform, databases, and application systems.
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle – SDLC including development, packaging, releasing and deployment for containerization or non-containerization application.
• Experience with API (REST and gRPC), distributed systems and databases (ERP).
• Familiarity with DevOps and GitOps practices (CI/CD/Cx/…) for automated rollout and deployment concepts on Kubernetes (Blue-Green, Canary, A/B).
• Proficiency in Python, Java or Go.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and Elasticsearch for effective data management.
• Ability to create comprehensive documentation and facilitate efficient knowledge transfer.
• Ability to deal with complex enterprise system environments, analyze problems and solve them.
• Understanding of Agile, HA, resiliency, scalability.
• ITIL, Operational requirements and Support.

Job Description

Analyze existing automated deployment standards, process and/or governance to identity and implement improvements.

Coordinate and responsible for the evaluation and preparation for software deployments (Tools, Connectives, Access, Dependencies and released packages) based on deployment guidelines.

Provide the automated deployment for manufacturing applications in Kubernetes (K8S) environment with all necessary components such as App relation services (Kafka, Solace, …), Database (Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL…).

Responsible for deployment manufacturing applications to Quality and Production environments. Ensure no impact to Manufacturing business and processes while apply/implement change.

Apply DevOps and/or GitOps solutions and best-practices to automate and improve release process, template, and pipeline toward to Industrialized rollout standards.

Develop comprehensive documentation, support instructions, and handover materials for other teams.
Close collaboration within worldwide distributed teams, e.g., Germany, India, Vietnam.

• Having minimum 3+ years of relevant, hands‑on experience as DevOps or experience deployment and operation in Kubernetes (K8S) environment of medium to large scale enterprise Platform, Databases, and application systems.


• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle – SDLC including development, packaging, releasing and deployment for containerization or non-containerization application.


• Experience with API (REST and gRPC), distributed system, database as well as enterprise level systems (ERP).


• Familiarity with DevOps and GitOps practices (CI/CD/Cx/…) for automated rollout and processes as well as deployment concept on K8S (Blue-Green, Canary, A/B…)


• Well versed in one of the languages (Python, Java, Go).


• Familiarity with MongoDB and Elasticsearch for effective data management.


• Ability to create comprehensive documentation and facilitate efficient knowledge transfer.


• Ability to deal with complex enterprise system environments and challenges, analyze problems and problem-solving.
