The role involves selecting components, developing vision/AR/VR solutions, commissioning equipment, building dashboards in Power BI, and guiding a team toward continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.

Qualifications

Job description

The key objective of this position is to ensure effective and efficient implementation of automation and manufacturing strategies for new product introduction through advanced PLC integration, IoT solutions, vision systems, and smart engineering technologies, while driving process optimization, timely project execution, and continuous team development.

1. Ensure effective and efficient implementation of automation and manufacturing strategies for new product introduction.
2. Lead PLC integration, IoT implementation, and smart factory initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
3. Develop and implement vision camera, AR/VR, and advanced technology solutions for manufacturing processes.
4. Support machine selection, automation concept development, and equipment commissioning for new projects.
5. Review and optimize feeding mechanisms, Pick & Place systems, pressing units, and other automation assemblies.
6. Select appropriate pneumatic components, sensors, motors, and related control systems as per project requirements.
7. Prepare and review engineering designs using relevant design software, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
8. Identify design gaps, recommend improvements, and implement corrective actions for enhanced machine performance.
9. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of projects within budget and quality expectations.
10. Develop dashboards, reports, and performance tracking systems using Power BI and other BI tools.
11. Ensure effective resource planning, manpower utilization, and timely allocation of responsibilities within the team.
12. Guide, support, and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives and continuous skill enhancement.
13. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and productivity.

Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and statutory compliance in all engineering activities.

Preferred candidate profile

B. Tech/B.E. Electrical or ECE or Instrumentation

• Ideally would require a candidate with rich 8 years and above of relevant work experience from a manufacturing unit with flair to drive the department to achieve its set objectives.
• PLC, HMI, SERIO vision camera programming.
• Automation development, IIOT Development, Electrical & Electronics maintenance.

IOT dashboarding on different platform (Power BI)

Strong knowledge of PLC integration, IoT systems, vision technology, AR/VR, pneumatic and automation components, design software, BI tools, project management, and manufacturing process improvement.
