Inventory Manager — Sansui Paints

Position: Inventory Manager
Experience Required: 2–5 Years
Location: Mumbai (Warehouse / Plant)
Employment Type: Full-time
Expected Salary: INR 18,000 – 28,000 per month (based on experience)
Role Summary
We are looking for a systematic and hands‑on Inventory Manager to oversee all raw material and finished goods inventory at Sansui Paints. The role involves maintaining accurate real‑time stock records, preventing stockouts, ensuring the warehouse is organized and compliant, and coordinating closely with the production, accounts, and logistics teams to support smooth manufacturing and dispatch operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate real-time records of all raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records
- Monitor minimum reorder levels and trigger procurement requests proactively before stockouts occur
- Manage FIFO (First In First Out) or LIFO stock rotation as required for different materials
- Prevent both stockouts and excess inventory through effective inventory planning
Warehouse Operations
- Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and compliant with safety and storage norms
- Manage all inward and outward movement of goods with proper documentation
- Coordinate with the Logistics Supervisor on dispatch readiness for outbound orders
- Handle storage of hazardous chemical materials in strict accordance with safety guidelines
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with the Accounts Executive on purchase orders and raw material procurement needs
- Coordinate with the Production Manager on daily and weekly material requirements
- Submit weekly inventory reports to management with stock levels, reorder alerts, and consumption trends
- Track raw material price trends and flag significant changes to management
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain all inward and outward documentation — GRNs, stock transfer notes, and packing lists
- Support internal and external audits with accurate and complete inventory data
- Ensure compliance with GST requirements for all stock movements
- Implement and maintain SOPs for all inventory management processes
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate in Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field
- Certification in Inventory or Warehouse Management is a plus
Experience
- 2–5 years in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing company
- Experience with chemical, paint, or related product inventory is strongly preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Tally or ERP systems for stock management and entries
- Strong MS Excel skills for inventory tracking, reporting, and reorder planning
- Knowledge of GST compliance for stock movements and GRN documentation
Soft Skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in stock record keeping
- Organized and process-driven approach to warehouse management
- Strong coordination skills across production, accounts, and logistics teams
- Proactive in identifying and resolving stock issues before they affect production

Reporting Structure
This role reports to the Production Manager and coordinates closely with the Accounts Executive and Logistics Supervisor.
